Audi Quattro Coaster Brings the Showroom to Your Home
New augmented reality app allows users to explore and drive the Audi Quattro in a virtual showroom experience
Car manufacturer Audi have released a new augmented reality (AR) app that allows a user to bring one of four models of the Audi Quattro into their own home.
By using a device to scan a room a user will be able to view a detailed model of the Audi Quattro right in the comfort of their own home. The digital recreation of the car can be viewed in full-size to see how it fits in your driveway or placed on a table to allow for more compact exploration. All the details are faithfully captured even down to the interior of the car resulting in the same experience as attending a showroom.
On top of viewing the Audi Quattro the Audi Quattro Coaster app also allows users to create their own track and take it for a test drive. By holding down the red button in the app and then moving forward you can create a test track that is only limited by your available space and imagination. Take the course around chairs, under and over a table and up to the ceiling and back. Once finished the track remains in virtual space allowing a user to move around freely and study both the road and the cars in different angles. To showcase the four-wheel drive power that the Audi Quattro has the track will experience all four seasons and the cars will react accordingly, giving you a detailed test drive up close.
The Audi Quattro Coaster app will also let users see an extended version of the TV commercial by holding a device with the app open to your TV. When viewed this way, the camera will scan a point in the commercial which will then lead to the car continuing to move through the device screen, extending the content shown in the commercial.
The Audi Quattro Coaster app is currently only available on Apple iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 11 via the App Store but Audi is hoping to bring the app to Android in the future. As and when further details are released about the Android release and any updatesVRFocus will keep you updated.
Just in case you wanted to look like an alcoholic scientist, without all the years binge drinking and mad experiments, I’ve got just the thing. You can now buy an officially licensed Rick Sanchez hoodie from Merchoid.
It comes in all sizes and would make for the perfect easy cosplay, but is it really that hard to buy a lab coat and an Etsy wig? Now Merchoid also claims that the hoodie adds +10 to your intelligence, but I really think its more like adding +10 to your ego.
But let’s be honest, now you’ll be able to show off to all your friends and brag about your superior intelligence, because at the end of the day, Rick and Morty really is a show for intellectuals. You probably wouldn’t understand, but there are many subtle references to classic works of art.
It’s available for pre-order now for $60 through Merchoid.
Move past your limits with the HP OMEN Gaming Laptops. With high-performance in mind, the OMEN laptops offer a whole new world of gaming. These laptops provide high-performance cooling from the vents underneath. Additionally, heat moves away from the CPU and GPU thanks to the four 3.5mm heat pipes and the built-in vapor chamber. Likewise, the heat transfers to four huge radiators. These features combine to enable you to drive hardware past factory settings.
The Air Opus Camper makes on-the-road living easy with an amazing self-inflating system that pops up in 90 seconds flat. Simply flick a switch and the camper automatically expands. When it’s time to leave, a quick-release valves deflate the camper in 30 seconds. The entire structure can be folded up and ready to go in under two minutes.
The Air Opus Camper uses Air Pole Technology to make set up a snap. To inflate the camper, the two lids on top of the trailer need to be folded outwards. Once completely extended, there are just a few bed supports to snap into place. The final step is engaging the air pump, which inflates the camper in a minute and a half.
The Air Opus camper, which retails at $21,499, offers an exceptionally comfortable interior with plenty sleeping and living space. The design improves upon previous models with more windows and skylights to let in natural light. As an extra bonus, the trailer is outfitted with a nifty pull out kitchen/grill for outdoor bbq-ing around the campfire.
Eliminates wobbling and slipping while driving screws
Long ago a contractor friend of mine turned me onto a simple fixture for a power drill. It’s an inexpensive gizmo that allows anyone to drive long screws in straight and fast. That’s a huge plus now that sheetrock screws have replaced nails for most homestead projects. The guide fits into any chuck. You slip the screw head-first into the extended tube. A magnet at the bottom holds it. You place the loaded guide with the tip of the screw poking out over the place where you want to screw and the tube collapses as the screw goes in. The result: no muss, no-hands, quick, straight-in screw first time. Kids and newbies really love it. I keep one permanently affixed to my drivers. I use it for short as well as long screws. In fact I had forgotten how dependent I had become on the guide until I misplaced one recently and had to work without it. Now I have multiple backups. I don’t think the brand matters; I use a $5 one. Make your life easier: keep one on your driver.
Gun violence has been a huge problem for a very long time, and the issue seems to be growing with all of the recent mass shootings that have taken place, not only in ‘war zones,’ but in the United States. There are multiple theories which exist to try and explain what exactly is going on, and why this is happening… there too many (theories) to name.
If we look at the history of violence, in general, it always boils down to commands. Somebody within the hierarchal structure of military establishments is giving the command, and if you continue to follow it all the way up to the top, the reasons for war always seem to be political in nature.
It’s no secret now that global politics is a platform of mass corruption, not all, but mostly at the highest levels. The reasons for war seem to be created, prolonged, and capitalized on by those who wish to profit off of it, and establish their own global agenda across the entire planet. They use violence and fear, fear from events like 9/11 and mass shootings.
There are many examples of this, from 9/11, to what happened in Syria (related article) and more in the decades prior, all across the globe, not only the Middle East. All of these have been examples of “false flag terrorism,” and rumours have been flying around questioning whether or not these mass shootings that are taking place in the United States are also “false flag” in nature, carried out by ‘brainwashed’ and potentially hypnotized victims/individuals who have been used by some sort of dark government agency.
By the way, the idea of a dark government agency is actually real,
“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism and the ability to pursue its own ideas of the national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself – Senator Daniel K. Inouye (source)
He is one of dozens who have referenced this ‘secret government,’ multiple presidents and politicians have, and still do.
Far too often are all those who participate and ‘work’ within intelligence agencies, government and politics categorized as ‘bad.’ This simply isn’t true.
But as far as secret agencies go, the United States has a history of government agencies existing in secret for years. The National Security Agency (NSA) was founded in 1952, its existence was hidden until the mid 1960’s. Even more secretive is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained completely secret for 30 years.
Today, this thing is global.
But these mass individual shootings are different; is there any evidence of mind control? The answer to that is a big yes. Project MK ultra was the CIA’s baby. It’s commonly believed that it was only LSD that was used on human test subjects, but that was just one program. As the US Supreme Court brought to light in 1985, MK ultra consisted of 162 different secret projects that were indirectly financed by the CIA, and contracted out to several universities, research foundations and similar institutions.” The majority of the MK Ultra records were actually destroyed, and have never been seen.
Are these mass shootings connected to this program? Just as events like 9/11 have taken away our rights, the US continues to justify actions that resemble a tyrannical police state, right before our eyes. 9/11 was used to impose ourselves on others, as well as take away our own rights to privacy, despite the fact that we didn’t know it until Edward Snowden blew the whistle. The threat of terrorism has been used to take away even more of our rights.
Are these mass shootings an attempt to do the same? Are some of them even real as they are presented to us? Why are people like President Bashar Al-Assad, and other figures always vilified? Why is there evidence that the heavily publicized chemical weapons gas attack in Syria was completely false? (articles linked earlier that go deeper into that) Why is the US paying a PR firm to fake terrorist videos?
What is going on here?
The answer is, we don’t know, but what we do know is that what we usually hear from our mainstream media outlets is not always true.
So, when it comes to these mass shootings in the US, it’s not unreasonable to make that connection, and to go into it deeper and to do some research to see for yourself. It’s not stupid to question things, and in fact, we need more of it.
Far too often have we seen the demonization of asking important questions, vaccine safety and genetically modified foods are two of many great examples. Propaganda campaigns exist everywhere today.
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.” – Edward Bernays
Should Guns Be Banned?
This is a big topic to debate. There are places on the planet where virtually zero violence exists, and no guns exist. There are also places that exist where there is no violence, and guns exist. If there is a ban on guns, I believe it should be a global one, where no human being on the planet can have access to a weapon, to the point where they are not even manufactured. That being said, a ban on weaponry while allowing law enforcement and government agencies to allow their employees continued access to them is hard, at least in my mind, to justify.
It’s similar to nuclear weapons, there is not justification to their existence. Guns can be considered a smaller version.
There are those who say that violence will always exist, and has always existed. But this statement simply isn’t true. Violence throughout history is always taught, learned, and actions have always been ‘brainwashed’ into the willing from a higher command.
At a deeper level, the problem isn’t even about guns, it’s about us, and the shifts we individually need to make.
Another problem, as president Obama recently mentioned, is the idea that the government is trying to disarm the citizenry, and these mass shootings are being used and/or created in some way to further along that agenda, this was alluded to above. He denied this, but what politicians say isn’t always what reflects the truth. He denied that the government wants to take away peoples guns.
But it seems a culture of fear is being created. The question is, is it purposefully manufactured that way?
It would be another American right being taken away for the purposes of control, in a tyrannical like state. In that sense, gun control doesn’t seem to be justified.
There are souls out there who would never take a life, no matter what the circumstance. Imagine a planet full of people like that. If that were the case, then that society probably wouldn’t even manufacture guns. Their consciousness wouldn’t create it, like we have.
Below are pictures that have been posted all over the internet recently, from various sources as you can see.
On average, there is more than one mass shooting for each day in America
America has six times as many firearm homicides as Canada, and nearly 16 times as many as Germany
States with more guns have more gun deaths
It’s not just the US: Developed countries with more guns also have more gun deaths
It’s not just the US: Developed countries with more guns also have more gun deaths
States with tighter gun control laws have fewer gun-related deaths
Gun homicides (like all homicides) have declined over the past couple decades
Support for gun ownership has sharply increased since the early ’90s
America has 4.4 percent of the world’s population, but almost half of the civilian-owned guns around the world
There have been more than 1,500 mass shootings since Sandy Hook
Let’s face it, when augmented reality headsets and glasses become commonplace, the world is going to get weird in a lot of unexpected ways. In the meantime, we can get a little sneak peek into that weirdness yet to come with Abhishek Singh’s latest ARKit project that recreated the iconic scene from The Ring (2002).
In the short 1-minute clip, Singh pans to the back of the flatscreen television to show that nothing is behind it, and turns on the scene from The Ring where the creepy vengeful ghost-girl emerges from the TV into the physical world. Just like the film, the ghost girl emerges from the TV, but instead of murdering him in a grizzly attack, he’s chased down the hallway to what we assume is his ultimate demise.
Get an eye-full of the creepiness below:
The project, which hasn’t been released publicly, was designed using ARKit, Apple’s software development tool that allows you to create augmented reality experiences targeted at pretty much any Apple mobile device running iOS 11.
Considering ARKit doesn’t automatically map the position of walls or other things that might occlude your view of a virtual object, Singh is able to mimic the native function of a dedicated AR headset such as Microsoft HoloLens by applying occlusion shaders to manually map his space before hitting the ‘spawn dead girl’ button.
Singh is no stranger to the digital lime light for his projects either, as he’s the same developer that created an AR version of Super Mario Bros. (1985) that went viral back in June 2017. And while neither may be particularly useful, you can’t help but gawk at what may be the future of AR content.
The NRA is a terrorist organization. The media should speak of the NRA in the same way they do ISIS. Total ISIS-inspired deaths in US = 79. Thanks to the NRA & the politicians they buy, we’ve had 1.2 MILLION American gun deaths since John Lennon was shot dead in NYC #NRAKillsKids
