When Trump Tweets, This Cloud Lamp Erupts With A Thunderstorm
Meet Parse/Error, a French artist based in Marseille who created a cloud lamp that reacts in real time to the tweets from Donald Trump.
When Trump posts on Twitter, the lamp reacts with clouds and a lightning storm, disturbing the soft light of the lamp. The lamp is no longer just a household object. It also measures the greater global political climate, acting like a seismograph for dangerous and inflammatory comments from Trump.
"The choice of setting the Political Lamp to follow the tweets of Donald Trump is explained by the fact that he perfectly embodies a dangerous era, where the words of one man on a global social network can endanger the fate of millions," explains Parse/Error.
"The idea of the Political Lamp is to hide its true nature behind a beautiful object, which immediately modifies the observer’s behavior when its purpose is revealed, causing anxiety and fascination."
