Samsung has announced pricing for the Galaxy Book — its Windows 10-powered competitor to Microsoft’s Surface. The 10.6-inch Galaxy Book 10 with Wi-Fi only starts at $629.99, while the 12-inch, Wi-Fi only Galaxy Book 12 starts at $1,129.99. Add LTE to that larger model and the price jumps to $1,299.99.

The Galaxy Book 12 with LTE is available from Verizon on April 21st, and you can pre-order both of the Wi-Fi only models on the same date from Samsung.com and “select retailers including Best Buy.” General availability starts a month later on May 21st.

Both Galaxy Book models comes with styli and keyboard cases, and have slim, aluminum designs. (Nothing fancy, but solid and attractive.) The Book 10 is powered by an Intel Core m3 processor, while the pricier Book 12 is equipped with Intel’s fanless Core i5 processor, as well as nicer AMOLED screen.

By comparison, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 starts at $799 with an Intel Core m3 processor and no stylus or keyboard cover; rising to $999 for a model with specs to match the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Book 12, including the same Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB storage (but again: keyboard cover sold separately).
